South Africa Field Guide Accommodation Accommodations There are two types of accommodation – one is shared house style (although it is not a traditional house but rather converted quarters) and the other is in bedrooms which used to be lodge rooms. All accommodation is shared Language Courses Accommodation Homestay
High
Standards We select our homestay families carefully and make regular inspections to be sure that the homestay experience meets our high standards. We look for our families to show an interest in hosting international students. A homestay must be within reasonable travelling distance of the school and have good access to the local transport network. Standard Homestay In a standard homestay a student has their own separate room which would include: bed, desk, lamp, dresser and wardrobe. The student takes breakfast and dinner with the family and also shares toilet and bathroom facilities with the family. Executive Homestay A student who chooses to stay in an executive homestay normally benefits from a little more comfort and a wider range of facilities than those offered in the standard accommodation. The student's room would have a TV and hi-fi and usually a phone line to which the student can connect their computer for internet and web access. Executive homestays are generally more centrally located and travelling to school takes less time Apartment, hotel and Bed & Breakfast Accommodation in apartments, hotel and bed & breakfast is also possible. Available upon request due to varying student requirements. |
