The country of Panama is known for its man-made canal. The Panama canal is one of the engineering marvels of the world.  Panama also has much more to offer.  It has a total of 1518 islands off the coasts, and is heaven on earth for surfing, fishing, diving and sailing.

Traditional Spanish festivals are huge in Panama. They are mostly celebrated in the interior of the country.  Many of the people in poverty; yet Panama has the highest income per-capita of all of the Central American countries.
