New Zealand is a small nation with a big heart located in the South Pacific. It is a land of rich social diversity, a clean and green environment and many outdoor adventures to discover. New Zealand is known as “Aotearoa” in the Maori language which means "Land of the Long White Cloud".

New Zealand has a temperate to sub-tropical climate. Being a former British colony, the majority of the population is of European descent, but there is a sizeable indigenous Maori minority and smaller minorities of various Polynesian and other groups.  It is a modern country with exciting cities but there is a wonderful countryside to explore boasting natural beauty and a wide range of outdoor and adventure activities.

It was named God's Own Country as far back as the 1880s and visitors generally agree it that it more than deserves that description
