Costa Rica is a peaceful country in Central America. It's people are proud of
the fact that it has no army. It is a very safe and stable country to visit, and
combined with wildlife, stunning beaches, and a great Latino culture, it has
become one of the most sort after destinations in the world to visit. Costa Rica's land area is 51,000 square kilometers (about 20,000 square miles). Yet, 33% of the land is devoted to national parks or reserves. This has made it one of the best, and most accessible countries to encounter wildlife. Don't be surprised to hear and see monkeys, toucans and sloths right outside your window. The country has an incredible variety of climates, vegetation, wildlife and topography. You can enjoy many activities such as hiking in rain forests and mountains, going to the Caribbean or the Pacific beaches, visiting active volcanoes, bathing in hot springs, white water rafting, cruising to islands, canopying, diving and much more. In a country with a population of three and a half million people, Costa Rica’s literacy rate is 95 percent. This is among the highest in the developing world. Cost Rica is therefore an educated country, and the Latino culture (along with the sun!) keeps on shinning through in every day life. Costa Rican's (called Tico's) are among the friendliest in the world. You will love your time in Costa Rica. We have three schools to choose from in Costa Rica. Each has its own individuality, and attractions. Manual Antonio is a beach location. Our school is located between the twin towns of Manual Antonio and Quespos. The views from our school are simply spectacular. In fact your can truly call it 'millions dollar' views as that is the price of some of the nearby houses! It is located just minutes from Manual Antonio National Park. This is the wildlife jewel in the crown of a country renown for its wildlife. more Tamarindo is a small funky town located on the northern coast of Costa Rica. It is a famous location for both surfing and diving. It was teh first stop in the movie 'endless summer II'. In fact it is an adventurers paradise. If you wish to experience a small town (population about 500), enjoy the fantastic beaches right on your door step, and easily meet others, this is the location for you. more San Jose is the capital of Costa Rica. A city of about 1 million it has many museums, theatres with music performances and plays, international restaurants, discotheques and bars. Located in the centre of Costa Rica, it is a great access to all parts of the country. Both the west coast (Pacific) and the East coast (Caribbean) are literally only a few hours away. Being the capital there is is an active night life during the week and it gets better on the weekends. more |
