Bogota School

Our school is an organization that together with Universidad de La Sabana (one of the best Universities in Latin America) promotes Spanish as a foreign language in the world. That is why we are ready to offer students coming to Bogotá:  qualified teachers, evaluation of the student progress from the beginning, excellent headquarters and small classes, to make the learning process better and easier. Adequate classrooms, library, sports facilities, computer with internet and cultural activities are important to create a friendly learning environment. In all of our headquarters you will find all this and much more.

Universidad de la Sabana has one of Latin America’s best campuses, surrounded by nature, sports fields, green zones and pedestrian pathways, as well as spacious zones for study and resources such as language lab, computer rooms and an excellent library. ATM, travel agency, post office and restaurants are available at the university. If you leave the campus and walk less than 5 minutes you will find a mall with very nice boutiques, restaurants, cinema etc.

There are internet rooms at the university, as well as hundreds of computers available and they are free of charge. There are public phones at the school, there is also a Skype connection so they can open an account and use it. In emergencies we let students call from a mobile for no cost.

The school has the following on site: Café, library, common/social room, computer language lab, sport facilities, cafeteria, university restaurants, lake, etc. The university is wheelchair friendly but transport to the University is not easy unless arranged in advanced and by paying a fee. The university has more than 5.000 students so there are more than 300 rooms

STUDIUM is the best language laboratory in Colombia and is part of Universidad de La Sabana. Students are encouraged to study independently in STUDIUM, where from 7AM to 6PM counselors are available for guidance. The counselors not only help to develop study plans for the improvement of language skills, but also they monitor and evaluate the student’s learning process. In class teachers also reinforce the skills a student has practiced in the lab to ensure that they gain the most from the resources available. STUDIUM counts on special software designed especially for the learning of Spanish, which has practice activities for listening, reading, speaking and writing.

The Octavio Arizmendi Posada Library has an excellent infrastructure with more than 90,000 volumes, and a large number of periodicals and databases in different areas of knowledge. In addition to the reference computers and the virtual facility, there are 690 other network points for all areas of consultation.
