This school is located in the vast area of the Argentine Patagonia, stretching across miles of high streppe land, river valleys, meadows and cliff-faces, right into the very heart of the Andes. It carries through, reaching the border of Chile, where it finally stops. It is a huge land, filled with nature’s miracles, with its endless crystal clear rivers and streams, and picturesque scenes of valley-scapes, with eagles souring overhead. Fly-fishing at Ranquilco is a world-class experience, and definitely like no other.

Few people ever experience the heart of these lands, but when they do, it is usually on horseback, as it lies behind all roads and other means of access. Horseback brings one gracefully into the deep peace that exists only here. There are no phones or televisions, and electricity is generated by falling water. Ranquilco also has all the luxuries of a swimming pool, squash and volleyball courts, mini gym, running track and a riverside log sauna.
